Privacy Policy

How FileFly handles your data — and why there's so little of it to handle.

Last updated: June 20, 2021

Introduction

Filefly is a free for use software developed by software developer Amal Ajith. There is no business-model around Filefly, and it does not generate any revenue. For the purposes of privacy and GDPR compliance, this policy distinguishes between the Filefly software and the main Filefly website.

The Filefly Software

Filefly software does not use any user account, and does not collect any user data, when working. The Filefly website does not collect any data, nor any telemetry, when the Filefly software is being run. To list the available devices on your local network, the software collects and/or sends the local IP address and MAC address of the device. Filefly software does not send this collected information outside your local network or to other third party applications in or out of your local network. Communication is limited to other Filefly installations on the same local network.

The Filefly Website

The main website of Filefly, aka www.fileflyapp.com, does not create or use any user account. There are no registration forms or account-creation mechanisms, and so no personal information is stored at any moment about the user by Filefly.

Analytics

www.fileflyapp.com currently uses Google Analytics for statistics about the visits on the website. This service is configured for maximum privacy and to be compatible with GDPR requirements. We encourage you to consult Google's own privacy documentation for more information on how that data is handled.

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update or modify this privacy policy at any time. Continued use of the software or website after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
