How FileFly handles your data — and why there's so little of it to handle.

Introduction
Filefly is a free for use software developed by software developer Amal Ajith. There is no business-model around Filefly, and it does not generate any revenue. For the purposes of privacy and GDPR compliance, this policy distinguishes between the Filefly software and the main Filefly website.
The Filefly Software
The Filefly application does not require any user accounts. To discover available devices on your local network, the app uses your local IP address and device MAC address. This network discovery stays entirely within your local network and is never transmitted externally. To help identify bugs and improve performance, the application collects anonymous, aggregated usage statistics using Aptabase. This telemetry is strictly anonymous and does not collect any personal data, filenames, device names, or IP addresses. You can opt out of this analysis at any time in the application settings.
The Filefly Website
The main website of Filefly, aka www.fileflyapp.com, does not create or use any user account. There are no registration forms or account-creation mechanisms, and so no personal information is stored at any moment about the user by Filefly.
Analytics
www.fileflyapp.com uses Google Analytics to measure website traffic and optimise your experience. To respect your privacy, FileFly operates a smart consent mode: if you visit from a GDPR-regulated country (such as the EU, UK, or Switzerland), cookies and tracking are blocked by default until you actively opt-in via the consent banner. If you visit from a non-GDPR region, anonymous analytics are enabled by default, and you can dismiss the cookie notification banner by clicking OK. Changes to This Policy
I reserve the right to update or modify this privacy policy at any time. Continued use of the software or website after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
